Vero Maynez is a queer, Mexican-American stage and screen actor, and a Chicagoland teaching artist. Onscreen, one can catch Vero cheesing with @cheezit on TikTok, and in a Cheez-It Puff'd commercial! Selected theatre credits include: Alma (u/s--American Blues Theater), The Snow Queen (The House Theatre), Bechdel Fest: Momentum (Broken Nose at Steppenwolf 1700), Feel the Spirit (Shotgun Players, Berkeley), The Mathematics of Love (Brava Theater Center, San Francisco), and The Christians (San Francisco Playhouse, San Francisco). In addition to being an actor, Vero is a passionate teaching artist, having worked with theatres across the city like Prop Thtr, Silk Road Rising, Mudlark, About Face, and City Lit. She holds an MFA in Acting from DePaul University, and a BA in Theatre & Performance Studies with a minor in Spanish from UC Berkeley. Vero is represented by Paonessa Talent Agency, is a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor, and has additional training from American Conservatory Theater.
