The Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre (255 Capacity)
The Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre is a three-quarter thrust stage with fixed seating for 255 people. Entrances to the space are located on the first and second floors of the Theatre Center. The Nichols Theatre is fully equipped with catwalks for lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system and a counterweight rigging system.
The theatre contains eight rows of seating, with the first row beginning at stage level. The back wall of the theatre has been constructed out of brick that has been reclaimed from the Woman’s Library Club building and repurposed to create the interior of this new theatre. Every seat in this intimate space has clear sightlines, with no seat further than 30 feet from the stage. There is not a bad seat in the house.
