Valerie Maze

At Writers Theatre: A Little Night Music

Ms. Maze was Assistant Conductor/Cover Conductor on Showboat at Lyric Opera of Chicago, where she has been on staff as Dance Pianist and Assistant Conductor in past seasons. In 2011, she conducted Follies and the The Adventures of Pinocchio (Chicago Shakespeare Theater). Other Chicago credits include: Drury Lane Theatre, Noble Fool Theatricals, Apple Tree Theatre, Theater at the Center, Light Opera Works, Provision Theater, Chicago Muse, Bowen Park Opera, Elgin Opera and DuPage Opera.  Regional credits include: Peninsula Players, Wagon Wheel Theatre, Portland Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Harrisburg Opera, Utah Festival Opera and California Opera. Other projects include Assistant Conductor for Hansel and Gretel and operas involving the Chorus at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Ms. Maze has received recognition for Cats (After Dark Award,Theater at the Center) and has performed on WFMT as part of the Dame Myra Hess Series.
