Sarah Hughey

At Writers Theatre: A Doll's House, Vietgone, The Scene, Doubt: A Parable, The Diary of Anne Frank, Port Authority, Hamlet

In Chicago, Sarah has designed lighting for productions at Northlight Theatre, Steppenwolf, Lookingglass, Victory Gardens, Court Theatre, American Blues, Silk Road Rising, Steep Theatre and many others. Regional work includes the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Guthrie Theater, Asolo Repertory, Portland Center Stage, City Theatre (Pittsburgh), Kansas City Rep and St. Louis Black Rep. She is the recipient of a Joseph Jefferson Award (Scorched, Silk Road Rising) and the 2013 Michael Maggio Emerging Designer Award. She has taught lighting design at Northwestern University, Columbia College Chicago and Willamette University. She holds an M.F.A. from Northwestern University and is a member of USA Local 829.
