At Writers Theatre: A Little Night Music

Ms. Duchak has musical directed Gypsy, The Sound of Music, Sweeney Todd, Ragtime (Joseph Jefferson Award); Spamalot (Joseph Jefferson Nomination), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Miss Saigon (Joseph Jefferson Nomination; Drury Lane Oakbrook), The Story of My Life directed by Richard Maltby Jr. (Biograph Theater), The Original Grease (American Theater Company) and The Rocky Horror Show (Mercury Theater). Ms. Duchak was the conductor/pianist for the Midwest premiere of Married Alive (Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire). As an actress, she performed on Broadway in Ragtime (Mother) and national tours including: The Ghost of Christmas Past in Scrooge, Magnolia and Ellie in Showboat and Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Chicago and national touring companies). As a vocalist, she can be heard on numerous recordings, including her debut solo CD: Intersections. Ms. Duchak served as vocal coach for Academy award winning actor Russell Crowe, preparing him for his role as Javert in the feature film Les Miserables. www.robertaduchak.net
