Rebecca Hurd

At Writers Theatre: The Importance of Being Earnest

Relatively new to Chicago, she just wrapped up her second season at American Players Theatre in Spring Green, WI—where she appeared as Irina in Three Sisters and Madame in The Maids. Her other credits include Short Shakespeare! Twelfth Night (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Stage Kiss, The Master Butcher’s Singing Club (Guthrie Theater), Super Monkey, Blue Stockings (Guthrie Dowling Studio), Arcadia, A Flea in Her Ear, Comedy of Errors (American Players Theatre), A Little Night Music, Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, The Merchant of Venice (Montana Shakespeare in the Parks) and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Creede Rep). She is a YoungArts award winner in musical theatre and holds a B.F.A. from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater.
