Peter Davis 

At Writers Theatre: The Turn of the Screw 

Davis is a professor in the Department of Theatre at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he chairs the MA/PhD Program and teaches theatre history and dramaturgy. He is also an award winning director and actor, having worked with such companies as TheatreWorks, Synthaxis Theatre Company, Defiant Theatre, Strawdog Theatre Company, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, American Theatre Company and Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Dramaturgy credits include, TheatreWorks, Synthasis Theatre Company, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company and Steppenwolf Theatre Company. He was the Resident Dramaturg at Illinois Repertory Theatre from 1991 to 2001 and has been the resident dramaturg at Remy Bumppo Theatre Company since 2004.
