Nick Bowling
At Writers Theatre: Bach at Leipzig
Bowling is the Founding Artistic Director of TimeLine Theatre Company and directed the inaugural production of Summit Conference. He has directed the company's production of The Children's Hour, This Happy Breed, The Lion In Winter, Hauptmann, The Crucible, Aorelloi, Guantanamo: Honor Bound To Defend Freedom, the world premiere of Streeterville, Gaslight, concert productions of The Cradle Will Rock and Thrill Me. Other directing credits include Another Part Of The Forest (Eclipse Theatre Company), Closer Than Ever (Porchlight Musical Theatre), Time Of The Cuckoo, Frozen Assets (Shattered Globe Theatre), Present Slaughter: The Coarse Acting Plays (Shakespeare's Motley Crue Theatre), Factory Girls (Rivendell Theatre Ensemble), Angels In America (Buffalo Theatre Ensemble), Blithe Spirit (Impulse Theater) and The Subject Was Roses (Carpe Noctem Theatre). Nick is the recipient of four Joseph Jefferson Citations. He was the Associate Artistic Director and Casting Director at Court Theatre for three years, casting and line producing many productions. He also created and directed their Resident Apprentice Program. Nick holds a Bachelor's Degree in musical theatre from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He received an M.F.A in Directing from DePaul University's Theatre School where he has also served on the Directing Faculty. Nick was named one of five promising theatre directors by the Chicago Tribune.
