Chicago assistant directing credits include: Dublin Carol (Steppenwolf Theatre Company), Unlock'd (Ravinia Festival) and The Shaggs: Philosophy Of The World (Lookingglass Theatre Company). Regional assisting includes: Blithe Spirit, The Fantasticks (Trinity Repertory Company), King Lear (Seattle Shakespeare Company). Taming of the Shrew, Love's Labor's Lost (Shakespeare Santa Cruz). Her own directorial work includes a new musical adaption of Marriage of Figaro, Twelfth Night and Caryl Churchill's A Mouthful of Birds, as well as premieres by Ann Marie Healy, Gregory S. Moss and Dan Lefranc at the Brown New Plays Festival. Pollock holds a BA from Vassar and an MFA in directing from the Brown University/Trinity Repertory Consortium. makaelapollock.wordpress.com
