Gaby Labotka

Gaby is an actor, director, choreographer and more living in Chicago and working both locally and nationally. Gaby is a Certified Intimacy Director with Intimacy Directors International, an Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and a proud member of the Alliance of Latinx Theatre Artists (ALTA). Gaby is a fierce advocate for respect, empathy, representation, inclusion, and safety in the theatre. Selected choreography credits include Kiss (Intimacy Director, Haven Chicago);  Desire in a Tinier House (Intimacy & Fight Director), Indecent (Associate Intimacy Director, Oregon Shakespeare Festival), La Ruta (Fight Director, Steppenwolf), In the Blood (Fight & Intimacy Director, Red Tape Theatre), Romeo and Juliet (Assistant Fight Director, Shakespeare Festival St. Louis), Hamlet (Fight Director, The Gift) and A Story Told in Seven Fights (Fight Director, The Neo-Futurists, ALTA Award: Outstanding Fight Choreography). Gaby's work can currently be seen in X (Fight & Intimacy Director, Sideshow Theatre) and Oslo (Fight & Intimacy Director, TimeLine). Training: IDI, SAFD, RADA, Pig Iron, Actors' Gymnasium and Illinois State University.
