Credits include: Hey! Dancin! (The Factory Theatre) and Angel Cruz in Jesus Hopped the A Train (Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor in a Principal Role, Raven Theatre). Other Chicago credits include: A Big Blue Nail (Victory Gardens Biograph Theater), Comedy of Errors, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet (Oak Park Festival Theatre), Mad Dancers (Piven Theatre), he appeared in and choreographed A Manual for a Desperate Crossing directed by Coya Paz (Halcyon Theatre), he played Romeo, Mercutio and Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet (Apollo Theater) and Oklahoma! (Theatre at the Center). Cruz is co-creator and performer in The Game Show Show…& Stuff! (Lakeshore Theater). He developed and appeared in a one-person show, Stuffed! (Strawdog Theatre, Lakeshore Theater and Raven Theatre Company) He is a graduate from The School at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and The Improv Olympics Theater. Cruz is an improviser on several teams in the city.
