At Writers Theatre: A Moon for the Misbegotten
Demetria earned her Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Grand Valley State University, and her MFA from the University of Houston. After completing a turn as a Journeyman at The Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, SC, Demetria relocated to Chicago. Chicago credits include Tawanda in Live Bait's production of Love Child, Cass in Stage Left's production of Burying the Bones and Erica in MPAACT's The Divine Order of Becoming, for which she received a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actress. Regional credits include Eunice in A Streetcar Named Desire (American Players Theatre), Doubt at New Stage Theater, Medea (Warehouse Theatre), Mistress Ford in Merry Wives of Windsor, Phoebe in As You Like It (Illinois Shakespeare Festival) and Helena in Midsummer Night's Dream (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival). Demetria is represented by Paonessa Talent in Chicago.
