Last fall, the National Endowment for the Arts launched a new online resource for its Our Town creative placemaking grant program called “Exploring Our Town” – featuring Writers Theatre new theater center project!
Designed to assist those across the country and the world working on arts-based community development projects, this exciting resource features case studies of over 60 creative placemaking projects that have received funding through the Our Town program, including WT’s, which received an Our Town grant in 2012 in collaboration with the Village of Glencoe.
“Exploring Our Town” highlights these 60 grant recipients as outstanding models of community development projects that place the arts and civic collaboration at their core, touting them to prospective applicants as consummate examples of proposals that successfully received funding.
