Andrew Burden Swanson
At Writers Theatre: Witch, A Streetcar Named Desire
Andrew is a founding member of Jackalope Theater Company, and now serves as Director of Community Engagement. His playwriting credits include The Last Exodus of American Men, Moonshiner, Under Construction, The Casuals and Lunacy!. He is the recipient of Steppenwolf Theatre’s inaugural Acting Fellowship, and a graduate of The School at Steppenwolf. Other Chicago acting credits include Port (Griffin Theatre), Waiting for Lefty (American Blues), The Last Duck, Rich And Famous, The Peacock, Prowess, The Light Fantastic and In The Canyon (all with Jackalope Theatre). He is also the founder of Cygneture Woodworks, a custom furniture business, and the founder and General Manager of Edgewater Castle Football Club, a non-profit amateur soccer club, both located in and around the Edgewater community. He is honored to be a part of this production, with this amazing team. He'd like to thank this family for their love and his girlfriend, Allison, for her supernatural powers of understanding and support.
