Originally from Detroit, MI, Am’Ber received her BFA from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater Actor Training Program. She has also participated in training programs at Steppenwolf Theater Company, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Globe Theater in London and LISPA International School for Performing Arts. As a director she has led or assisted on productions at Steppenwolf, Goodman, Timeline, American Players Theater and the Guthrie. She was last seen in Penumbra Theater Company's production of For Colored Girls.
