With a newly streamlined adaptation by Michael Halberstam and Scott Parkinson that is both epic in scale and arrestingly intimate, this fresh and innovative look at the text will immerse audiences in this struggle for global supremacy, raising important questions about the responsibilities of a citizenry when confronting radicalism and tyranny.

For Julius Caesar, John Makowski, Asssociate Professor in the Department of Classical Studies at Loyola University Chicago, will discuss with Writers Theatre Literary Manager Bobby Kennedy the world of Ancient Rome, how the Romans felt about kingship, and the motivations of the conspirators.
