Mike brought over 10 years of nonprofit arts management experience to Writers Theatre when he joined the staff in 2011. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to work closely with Writers Theatre audiences. Previously, Mike worked for the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in roles ranging from Stagehand to Operations & Facilities Safety Coordinator to Box Office Manager. He also completed internships with the Washington Pavilion’s Marketing Department and Educational Programming Department for the Performing Arts Center while enrolled in college. Mike gained an array of experiences at the Washington Pavilion, from creating and directing an annual, regional talent showcase and competition to developing and implementing the organization's emergency manual. Mike has performed and directed for a number of community and professional theatre companies in Sioux Falls. He also spent 3 years as an assistant coach for the Lincoln High School Oral Interpretation team in Sioux Falls; he is a former member of the City of Sioux Falls Safety Committee and a former member and volunteer for the Sioux Falls Aids Fund Committee.
