Henry Godinez
At Writers Theatre: Quixote: On the Conquest of Self
Henry Godinez is the Resident Artistic Associate at Goodman Theatre and a professor in the Department of Theatre at Northwestern University. As an actor, he was most recently seen in 2666 at Goodman. With Chicago Shakespeare, he was seen in Cymbeline, King Lear, Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night, among others, prior to CST’s move to Navy Pier. Other credits include Wisdom Bridge Theatre, The Old Globe Theatre and The Kennedy Center. Film/TV: Above the Law, The Fugitive, The Beast, Boss (Starz), Chicago Code (Fox), Chicago Fire (NBC) and The Pages. As a 2017 Northwestern University Public Voices Fellow, his OpEds have been published in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Latino USA, L.A. Review of Books and TRT World. Born in Havana, Cuba, Godinez was the co-founder of Teatro Vista, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Arts Council and Albany Park Theatre Project.
